About M.A.P.

M.A.P. is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide quality opportunities for children to engage in the arts at no cost to their families.  It is our belief that participation in arts-based programs, such as theater, dance, musical performances, and visual art classes, will foster the development of imagination, creativity, respect, responsibility, acceptance, self-awareness, cooperation, social skills, organizational skills, and practical life skills (sewing, cooking, building) in order to prepare youth for success in life.

Connecting with Children & the Community

M.A.P. aims to inspire children and help them make the arts an active part of their lives and of the communities in which they live.  Since our beginning in 2009, we have successfully worked toward our mission of offering free arts-based activities to the children of southern Mississippi.  We are known for hosting small events, like our Starship Saturdays and Christmas plays, but also for participating in community events such as the Alice Moseley Festival.

While we continue to grow and are excited about the future of M.A.P., we remain forever humble.  Without the dedication and support of hundreds of community volunteers and sponsors throughout the years, we would not be able to provide the quality programming that has earned us a name on the Mississippi coast.   We will never stop reaching for the stars!

M.A.P. has had a full history!
