Music, Arts, and Practicality
...a M.A.P. to the stars!
M.A.P.
2019 STARSHIP SATURDAYS
On four Saturdays in June of 2019, M.A.P. revisited its roots with a minicamp. The children wrote an original script "Pirates are Real!" and made the costumes, props and scenery and then presented one performance of their production. This was done under the auspices of the Alice Moseley Folk Art Museum in Alice's Classroom.
On the first day, after receiving their eye patches and bandanas, the pirates-to-be were surprised by a visit from real pirates, who read them a pirate story.
They then made their very own parrots, because every good pirate needs a parrot!
On the second and third Saturdays, the crew wrote the play, and made the scenery and props and their costumes and even squeezed in a few rehearsals.
Saturday #4! After a brush-up rehearsal and putting up the scenery, it was time for the performance.
